Once Upon A Time In Event-Land…

November 2020

2020 has been the year no one expected; a year of cancellations, loss and change. One of the hardest hit industries across the globe has undoubtedly been the event space. Everything from weddings to exhibitions and even our beloved British Christmas Party has fallen on the sword.

Usually by now, we’d have seen the inside (and occasionally the outside!) of the O2 Arena, Birmingham’s NEC and ExCel London more times than we could count. World Tours, Championships and expos all needing graphics and wayfinding signage to ensure their event runs smoothly.

One of our favourite annual events is undoubtedly MCM’s Comic Con London. Exhibition stands, floor graphics, banners, ceiling suspended signage all installed ready for the arrival of comic enthusiasts donning the costumes of some of the most iconic characters know to film and print! The colours, the design, the sheer effort put into creating an immersive experience is never anything shy of awe-inspiring!

We have stood amongst our clients and peers over recent weeks with the #WEMAKEVENTS campaign, taking a stand against the lack of support for a billion pound industry and the countless people who rely on it to survive, both mentally and financially. The reality is, events are such a big part of modern life, for them to be taken away for this extended (not to mention indefinite) period, has had an immeasurable impact on so many venues, creatives and supply chain providers.

Our fingers are firmly crossed for a return to what we know and love very soon!
